So, since this is the last day of 2011, I bet everyone has plans to party tomorrow night huh? I don't (for now). I spent last New Year's Eve with my girlfriend (who's now my ex) and I spent this year practically girlfriend less (yay me -___-). Oh well, no hanging out with a girl tomorrow and kissing when the clock strikes 12 (boo!) If I come up with some special plans tomorrow, then I'll share them, but so far I don't have anything. I just know that I have to work but when I get off I'll probably just spend the night home alone. Yay?
See you in 2012

December Madness
Similar to last years madness with the release of the Air Jordan cool grey retro 11 last year, the release of the famous "concord" Jordan retro was bananas. Here's my take on it:

Mid December Updates
Last final tomorrow, then I'm done with school for the semester - TRUTH.
I made some new friends, saw some old ones, and got decent if not good grades haha.
On another note, made a Tumblr so check it out here
Real Hip Hop Still lives. Not only am I proof of that, but these Jersey Cats are too:
Shout out to my @2DeeWyld of the @WyldStylas for sending me this link. Fresh track, fresh video.
NEW MUSIC VIDEOS should be coming from me really soon, as soon as the other half of my Untamed Creativity Productions team @Dforever10 answers his phone. He's the definition of a hustler, cause he's ALWAYS working. That's why we're gonna make it.

On The Track is Back!
So the month of October is almost over and I have been neglecting my blog (unintentionally of course). I've just been busy being a college student and trying to have somewhat of a life, all while working on my music and you guessed it, On The Track: The Road to Success. Yes, I'm back from my hiatus. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Thinking of Quitting? Just "Knuck If You Buck!"
I haven't gotten lazy and stopped working out like I have in the past. I NEED to see this one through because Spring Break 2012 will be here before I know it. I've been getting the recommended daily dosage of 8 glasses of water a day by drinking out of a 2.2 Liter water bottle DAILY, and I exercise at least 3x a week. It should be 5 but I'm usually at school 2 days out of the week. My exercise regimen may change soon though. Whenever I need to stay focused with my workout, I usually play "Knuck if You Buck" by Crime Mob. That song gets me so hyped! I usually run on the treadmill or go hard lifting weights with this song - I love it! Since getting in shape is not the easiest thing in the world, just remember to find something that motivates you enough to keep you from quitting. I find my motivation.

Another Sleepless Night
Typical of a college student right? Yea. So why am I still up? Procrastination at it's finest! I'm doing some studying for class tomorrow. And I still haven't even picked out what I'm wearing to school. I can't just wake up in the morning, grab something out the closet and say "I'm going to school looking like this" unless it's during finals time, cause nobody usually cares about looking fly because it's the end of the school term. But since that's not the case right now (since it's only September), I've got some work to do. I just felt like sharing.
I might rock these to school tomorrow (Air Jordan 3 Retro "True Blue")
or maybe these (Air Jordan 2 Retro "Collezione" or simply "Countdown Pack" edition)
We shall see. Oh and for those who don't know, I'm a sneaker addict, so I tend to build my outfit of the day around what sneakers I feel like wearing that day. I might feature my sneaker addiction in a future video of mine someday (hint, hint).

The Road to Spring Break 2012
Second post of the month, it looks like I'm off to a decent start of writing in here often, right? Well I'm only writing so I can have some written documentation that marks today as the day that I am officially starting what I'd like to call my "Road to Spring Break." Ever since spring 1999 (I was in the 5th grade), I've dreamed of spending my spring break much like the college coeds did on MTV each year, whether it was in Florida, Las Vegas, or somewhere in the Caribbean.
Some of my earliest MTV Spring Break memories from 1999 include:
However, since the start of my college career, two factors have always hindered me from enjoying my spring break MTV style, money and my weight. I am blessed to have a part time job that keeps money in my pocket from time to time, but I have a bit of a sneaker fetish that tends to drain that hard earned money from my pockets most of the time - my fault, I know. And I have always been big for my age. I have never had the "ideal male body" with bulging muscles, a chiseled chest, and a six pack of abs. That WILL change this year as I have chilled on buying sneakers excessively and I have started to get serious about losing weight by getting back in the gym and watching what I eat. I've also started to drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day to flush my system out. Fat boys get no love. As a matter of fact let's be honest, none of us will ever date a model (Hinting a new song? Maybe). It's time for a change. Spring break is 5-6 months away, and I plan on being ready for it this year, MTV style!

Long time no see
I know it's been a minute, but I've been busy lately. School is back in session which means another year at Georgia State! I love it there, and of course I made new friends, most of which are girls but its cool though because I'm still trying to stay focused on school and my music. But cuffing season is around the corner so I'm trying not to develop feelings for anyone right now, but I don't know how long that's going to last (smiling). So since it's almost time to say peace out to summer, here's a quick recap of the things I did:
I entered the Magnum Live Large 2 competition (which I sadly didn't win)
I FINALLY took a long awaited, well deserved trip back home to NY
And I premiered my documentary series "On The Track: The Road To Success" on YouTube
More episodes should be on the way soon...
Since I'm always filming something, I have more videos on the way, so stay tuned! And don't forget to follow me on Twitter @SoloStar to hear the latest news from me. Stay up, and stay blessed, and I hope I get to make it back soon to keep you guys updated.

2011 BET Awards
I'm sorry I haven't been updating my blog like I should have been, but to be honest the fact that less than 10 people follow my blog makes me a bit hesitant to write more when I know that only a few people actually read what I write, but that will change this year because I will write more often like I did when xanga was hot in middle school and high school days.
Tonight I would like to share my opinions and thoughts on the 2011 BET Awards. I must be honest, I forgot that the awards show was on tonight because I haven't payed attention to anything BET since College Hill was on. I thought it was rather funny that my mom reminded me about the awards because she was watching it and I wasn't.
I didn't start watching the show until Jill Scott's perfomrmance, and I must say that she can sing. I've been in love with her voice since I first heard "A Long Walk" when I was eleven years old. Needless to say I loved her performance, even though I didn't understand why actor Idris Elba was on stage with her during her performance, but then again that's because I wasn't paying any attention to him while Jill was doing what she does best - singing.
I have to say that I enjoyed other performances of the show like Chris Brown's performance, Big Sean's performance, and Alicia Key's performance. But the highlight of the night was Trey Song's introduction of Kelly Rowland. I wasn't really feeling Trey's performance, mainly because it started off as a strip show early into the performance. I understand that was for his female audience, but I could have gone without that portion of the performance. When Kelly came out I was excited to see her on stage because I think she's finally stepping out of Beyonce's shadow. I don't think she'll ever be as big as Beyonce, but she's finally shining in her own light without her former group mate. I really like Kelly's current single "Motivation," and I'm glad that she performed it tonight, but I was honestly hoping that Busta Rhymes and Fabolus could have shared the stage with Kelly and Trey instead of all of those half naked male backup dancers.
The most talked about part of tonight's show however was Ms. Tiffany Greene's embarrassing moment on stage when she announced the supposed winner(s) of the Coca Cola's Viewer's Choice Award. According to Greene via Twitter, the teleprompter said, “Rihanna“, while the Evo tablet that she was holding said “Chris Brown“, and 106 & Park's Terrance J. announced Drake as the winner while standing right next to her with his co-host Rocsi. Drake was initially given the award, but at the end of the show, host Kevin Hart announced the BET winner of the Viewer’s Choice award was actually Chris Brown.
BET programming executive Stephen Hill admitted that the error was on BET’s behalf, not Tiffany Greene's. Hill stated via Twitter “That BET Awards Viewer’s Choice mix-up was due to human error. And I was the human that made that error. I apologize to ALL affected.” Although embarrassing, Greene's moment on stage became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter, and has even made her famous, gaining her tons of Twitter followers and support amongst the amount of ridicule that came her way earlier tonight.
Even though this was not BET's best awards show, I must say that I did enjoy watching the show live and tweeting with other users via Twitter so they could see my reactions to the show and I could hear theirs. I can also say that during the After Party that aired after the awards show, Big Sean told Big Tigga that last year he was watching the BET Awards on the couch, and this year he got to be a part of it. I was watching this years show on the couch so there's hope for me yet. SoloStar signing out. Stay up, and stay blessed.

One of my most played and probably talked about songs on youtube "No Future For Us Gents" has has inspired me to make an unofficial music video for it. It didn't take long to film, but boy was it a pain to edit it to the finished product.I can't wait fot the official video.

What's a SoloStar?
Production on "On the Track" is still going strong! With an original plan to film and produce 6 episodes, it turns out that I actually have 10 planned to release once a week this summer! I can't wait. Can you? I know the suspense is killing you too. Don't worry, I have 4/10 episodes finished, so there's just 6 more left! Let the countdown begin!
